The Melanoma 2010 Congress comprises of:

The opportunities provided by the above combined meetings have allowed the evolution of Melanoma Update for Primary Care Clinicians (Nov 4th)

Invitation

The organising committee of Melanoma 2010 is proud to announce the program for perhaps the most comprehensive melanoma conference of the decade. The careful combination of 4 independently structured but integrated meetings has allowed the evolution of concise programs each oriented to a specific audience, but providing great opportunities for cross specialty exchange of knowledge and ideas.

The overall meeting theme is Pathways to Treatment, which encapsulates the ongoing translation of our basic knowledge of the cellular pathways underlying melanoma development to the design of new molecular therapies to treat this disease.
We are creating a broad interdisciplinary program that will highlight cutting edge developments in primary and secondary prevention of melanoma.

We trust you will enjoy the Congress and look forward to welcoming you to Sydney.

Society for Melanoma Research

The Society for Melanoma Research (SMR) is a diverse organisation of scientific and medical investigators devoted to alleviating the suffering of people with melanoma. The SMR was founded to unify the field by increasing communication among researchers and building bridges of collaboration between basic, translational, and clinical investigators. The 7th International Melanoma Research Congress offers a critical opportunity for researchers and clinicians to come together to focus on melanoma biology and treatment.

4th Interdisciplinary Melanoma / Skin Cancer Centres Meeting

This 4th meeting of the group will again address the specific objectives defined for the inaugural 2007 meeting in Barcelona. Specifically, these were to consider the current optimal clinical care for melanoma patients, the opportunities provided by highly integrated interdisciplinary care and research, and facilitate the development of the infrastructure and systems to undertake these activities. Internationally recognised leaders in each of these fields will provide succinct reviews and moderate interactive sessions that will explore these issues.

International Melanoma Pathology Working Group

A further strength of the multifaceted Melanoma 2010 conference is that it includes the 3rd Melanoma Pathology Symposium. This full day symposium will be accessible to joint registrants of the Interdisciplinary Melanoma / Skin Cancer Centres and the Society for Melanoma Research conferences. It will highlight important contemporary issues in melanoma pathology, clinical care and research and present state of the art reviews.

Melanoma Update for Primary Care Clinicians

Development of the program for the Interdisciplinary Melanoma / Skin Cancer Centres, including the comprehensive clinical care reviews of melanoma diagnostics, surgery and medical oncology have provided a unique opportunity to evolve a program that will share these sessions. Further, specifically planned training including a dermoscopy course, surgical and pathology tutorials have been planned.
